She gets much more joy out of being a parent now that my sister and I have grown up. My parents love me and that’s all that matters.

People interested should probably try to get as much parent-like experience with kids as they can before committing to it. And, as we get wealthier, I'm confident that institutions will evolve to make it easier for good parents to have to do less sacrificing. So, you're both crazy!
